NoiseHouse | a community music experiment

About NoiseHouse

NoiseHouse is an international recorded jam party which originated in the DC metropolitan area.  It aims to bring a wide variety of musicians together to dance, network, and make noise.  The first ever NoiseHouse party was held Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Brookland Studios in northeast DC.  The first recorded NoiseHouse was held at the DC Chemical house on Saturday, January 24, 2009.  If you would like to throw and record a NoiseHouse party in YOUR city, send us your audio and we will master it and podcast it on our website!  Please contact me for details.

I eventually hope to open NoiseHouse as a community music center.  Although run like a nightclub, NoiseHouse would be structured as a musicians’ collective, with musicians who have sold or donated an instrument to NoiseHouse receiving free access for as long as they keep their instrument at NoiseHouse.  Besides being used for broad community-building applications, NoiseHouse would also be equipped as a recording studio so that musicians, in addition to networking with other musicians and fleshing out their songs, could also be provided with an affordable way to record their music.
